Site Status
A lot of stuff doesn't work right now unfortunately. My host installed a custom install of PHP5 on my server and it borked latestchatty.com. GameWith works and I don't really have time to keep up with LC at the moment. Some day I'll move LC to it's own server and get everything working, but for now it's running on life support.
wtf is this?
It started bugging me that I was putting more and more stuff on shackmap.com that wasn't shackmap-related, and I was also feeling limited by the layout of the other page. I really love the layout and it works great for the map, but not so hot for adding a ton of fields to support the Nintendo DS Animal Crossing Friends List.
So, I decided to blow $15 and get a new domain for my other shack-related toys like the gamertag stuff and my greasemonkey scripts. All that stuff will be moved onto this site when I have time to work on it. For now, look for them at their usual places.
Down the road...
Eventually, I'd love to help other shack coders by having a place to have their applications hosted, and supply them with an API so they don't have to reinvent any wheels. The API will open up this site's user login system so users only have one username/password for here, and also give application developers useful tools like shackmessaging and functions that will return post counts and account creation dates.
Like the title says, that's down the road. It'll be cool when it's done and hopefully people use it and enjoy it.
